SUBJECT: FUNDING BACKBONE EQUIPMENT
Dear Sirs:
This request is for funds to replace a Tri-Band antenna at the Okeechobee
Switch. Currently the Okeechobee radio club has lost interest in maintaining
the Switch and has turned over the site maintenance to the PBPG. This past
hurricane season saw the destruction of the ten year old tri-band antenna.
This site has become increasing important since the demise of the Stuart
Switch. Okeechobee links Lake Harbor to the south, West Palm to the
southeast, and Ft. Pierce to the northeast and Lake Placid to the west to
the cross state backbone. The replacement antenna will be a Comet CX-333
with a value of $159.30.
Respectfully
Doug Welcker (WBKGY)
PBPG President
