Thanks for the information. 
This is what is bugging me. Mostly my background as a Trouble shooting 
Programmer.
I have a good computer. Kantronics KPC3, a five wire com cable and think I 
have setup the software correctly (maybe not) but I followed the instructions 
yet it does not work like it should.
It is not that I need the node because I don't. I can get to Tampa with plain 
packet, but I have the equipment and my mind says it needs to work and it 
will before I am done.
