Are we going to have a TC in Tampa?

If so we need an agenda.

I can moderate the affair but not unless I have an agenda compiled by August
14th.

What topic(s) shall we present?

Who wants to make a presentation?

Has any general announcement been made to the ham public?

In the absence of absolutely no messages on this thread in at least two
weeks, I submit that no single individual is actually assuming charge of the
entire affair... someone may be handling the meeting room, someone the lunch
arrangements, and others assume they are going to make a presentation - but
there is no one who is coordinating the entire affair!

If so, please speak up and take charge. . .

If there is no one to take charge I recommend the following:

1.  The meeting on August 20 be limited to  high tech LINUX FPAC - since (so
far as I know) there has been on hue and cry for anything else.

2.  The LINUX FPAC TC be INFORMAL - no formal presentations . . . those who
are interested may bring one or more computers to have those who know how
put LINUX FPAC on them.

Okay - now let's see how much interest we have in that type of TC - and how
much interest we have in also having a general USERS TC which is sorely
needed, but for which I've not seen any information, nor advanced
announcements.

The one thing we should not  do: Have high tech LINUX FPAC presentations for 
a
general TC with hams who are there just to learn how to get on packet and
use the network and WL2K E-mail. (That will put them to sleep and turn them
off to our purpose.)   I can moderate both topics, but one must be in one
room and the other in another room!

Or is my new e-mail SPAM blocker keeping all this secret and everything is
well in order?
