Bill and others,

I know all too well about the hurricane damage to the house. It has been
over five weeks since Charley visited our area and it is really hard to tell
that any progress has been made around the area as far as recovery efforts
are concerned. Debris is still stacked up along the curbside up and down
many of the streets here. One can drive around the neighborhoods and still
see numerous homes that were destroyed. My insurance adjuster came last week
and I can only assume that others are still waiting to settle before they
start to clean up. There has been no place to deposit construction and
demolition debris until today. The local landfill had been closed to
everyone other than commercial vendors.

Apparently, my house did not receive the damage that yours did.  The worst I
got was a broken window and the soffit and fascia were ripped off of the
house. Of course, I know that I am preaching to the choir with you Bill as
you have seen my house. Hopefully, this weekend, I will get a chance to
start repairs. I saw my wife already picking out new paint colors which
means I better get my act together.
