This is more for those of us who are working on the networking piece. 6pack
when the driver for Linux is done will allow a single port to support up to 8
TNC's and there is no need for the diode matrix that is needed to use BPQ
KISS. I am checking to make sure that it is not done, but just not pubished.
I am kind of hoping to have a Linux switch on a laptop by the time the hamfest
arrives. I do not know if it will happen or not, but I will keep plugging at it.
If you get a chance you ought to download the Knoppix image and burn it. Stick
it in a machine and boot it up. It will run directly off of the CD.
That is the concept
I have had for these emergency operations systems. If we could do somethng
like that then you would not need to worry about loading software on someone's
HD, you just stick the CD in and boot it up.
