Chuck,
Some how, some way I need to get more solid information about what is going
on with Packet and FADCA.
I started messing with packet because our club had a MFJ 1278 TNC setting
idle and nobody interested.
Since then I have obtained a Katronics KPC3+ for my own station. I was able
for a while to get some help from Bob N4WFH but not lately. Besides myself, our
club president WU9T has packet, but not set up all the time and I am sure if
it was presented in the correct manor we could get the club setup as a BBS.
All I know about packet, and that is very little I have learned the hard way
and at my age it has not been easy.
Last night I was NCS for the Eagle Net. We had 3 pcs. of traffic, 1 routine
and a book of three welfare for Naples Fl. I could not move it becouse I did
not have a voice station on freq that could take traffic for Naples. For that I
need a route down the West Coast.
I have been able to connect to the SEDAN net work and before all the storms
the Peace River Network but I have not had much luck with Tampa.
As a point of information. Our club meets the first Wed. of the month at 3:00
in the North Campus on Cherry Hills Drive.
