I had assumed it was some such. I am going to try it and see if it will
send data to w4dph @ 3100727442
The link over the internet to you switch is very good. The problem was
my phone line which is over the internet also, it uses ports 10000 to 20000
and the UDP port 10093 was right in the middle of it. I just went in and
issolated that port and now it talks just fine. It was interesting though, it
did not come up right the first time, I got a note from Bernard saying that
you had done some changes and I still did not get a link then night before
it came up really very good.
I am starting work on a replacement switch for the one down town, I hope
we soon have them all replaced.
One thing that we are going to have to see if we can find someone to do is
write a tool that can convert the old FPAC DOS routing tables to the new
ones on Linux, we use a routing generator tool here that makes creating
routing tables very easy, it also creates a map of the network making it
even easier to visualize.
Have you heard anything about our multiple routing issue? Who might be
the person to speak to on that issue? I will get someone to translate if need
be, but we need to correct this issue so that all of our switches can be changed
over.
We are getting ready for our Thanksgiving holiday here so no one is really
working too hard today, (most are gone) but I am trying to get a computer
ready for a coverage demo test I must do Monday and Tuesday of next week.
