The MSR2K and MSF5K should do data with few issues, Motorola designed
them to do so. I am not sure where the data points are on them, but we have
a lot of people who know them and should be able to point the way.

Mitreks do pretty well, if you can replace the filters they do even better. With
some additional work you can make them transisiton from TX to RX quite fast,
it has been a while since I have looked at that issue but I believe it
is published
one the web somewhere.

The larger the purchase the better the price. We need to get as big a group
purchase as possible, that way we can all get some good pricing on these
things. I think Linda had got yours down to $390/unit if I am correct.

This would indeed be one way to do so, but you are going to be purchasing
them in by ones and twos and there will be no volumn savings.

I will have one Tait radio with me on the link back to Tampa, though if I can
make it with a directional antenna and a TEKK I have we can use the Tait as
a local 9k6 port. But that will all depend on the link I can get out
of the hamfest.
