2004 FLORIDA GOVERNOR'S HURRICANE CONFERENCE
The 18th Annual Florida Governor's Hurricane Conference is now less=20
than 30 days away. The conference will be held from Monday May 24 until=20
Friday May 28, 2004 at the Tampa Convention Center located at 333 South =
Franklin=20
Street Tampa, Florida 33602. The theme of this year's conference is=20
"Unifying Florida's Hurricane Culture. A Model All-Hazards Approach."
The former amateur radio forum is being replaced with an expanded ESF-
2 communications forum for providers of all types of backup/auxiliary=20
communications. This session is designed to provide emergency=20
management personnel with an overview of the myriad of volunteer, local, =
state=20
and federal backup/auxiliary communications systems available during=20
disaster response and recovery.
This forum will be held during the hurricane conference on Friday May=20
28, 2004 from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm at the Tampa Convention Center.=20
Admission is free and all amateur radio operators are encouraged to =
attend this=20
informative communications forum.
