Bill,
Read the bill and I think you will find that you have been taken
for a ride by Moveon.org. I think that you will find that the great
majority of salaried people are not affected by this bill, and indeed
it's aim is more to correct for changes in pay levels and whatnot.

As I understand it, hourly people are not involved, it deals only
with salaried people, and a small group at that.

Here is the address at the Federal Registar. I may be wrong, but
after reading the actual bill what I see from Moveon.org is just the
same far left stuff that has put this country in the condition it is
in.

According to the Economist, I will try to find the copy, there will
only be between 30 and 50,000 people affected by this bill in the whole
country. Most are upper level management and very high paid groups.

(Can you say Enron and WorldCom?)

With that, I shall say no more as I am not a political animal my self,
but I also do not like to see how some of these groups have so twisted
things as to totally invert things. These same people blame the 9-11
issues on Bush and company, but it was them that so weakened our military
and spook services that we were not capturing the data we should have
been capturing. Do not get me wrong, I am not in total agreement with
what Bush is doing, the immigration thing is a travesty, and that is
where they should be hollering, but jumping on something like this is
more to get eyes off of the real issues, they do not want to touch the
immigration issue because of the latin vote, my wife who is from CR is
very p.o.ed over that one, it took forever for her to get her citizenship
and I am a native born american. But it was the previous administration
that so screwed things up that it took so long.

Just my $0.02 worth,

Chuck Hast
