After cutting very interesting comments in view of need of brevity,

I hope we can all give Evans some help here, I can honestly say
that I have not ever seen (I have heard of, but not seen) a HAM
EOC, Evans dropped of a machine for review to use as a switch,
and indeed looks like it will work quite well. He also told me
all about what they were doing, and I feel that it would be a
very good project to use as a template for attempting to float
similar projects around the state. Indeed this type of activity
has something in there for every one of us regardless of what
part of the activity we do, if technical, someone has to keep
this stuff running, if you do DX and competition you are sharpening
your skill at rapidly moving information under pressure, if you
are into public service I do not think I have to add anything
there, a Amateur Radio EOC would I believe certainly be a very
strong drawing card for many hams, in this case these people
are seeing a small part of their taxes at work, it is a hobby
to us but in time of need it becomes a necesary part of the
disaster comms, and the more people we can field the better
we are. I think that some of the club houses come near to a
EOC but this has full support of the county in a way I do not
believe I have seen before.
