Evans,
What do you want to install, a switch or a BBS?

With regards to the network the  layered network is a open
network and in fact will pass other protocols through it with
no problems. In fact the next major phase of the network is to
move the switches to LINUX FPAC which will also give us other
protocols to play with at the switch sites (IP, NetRom and I
think a open version of Flex) I am at this moment working on
getting a machine set up to play with so I can learn how to
install all of the bits and pieces that are needed to make a
LINUX switch do it's magic.
