Check this out folks. This looks as good as the stuff I do
using $10k software!!

This tool will let us model out network paths much better
than just eyeballing them. It uses the Longley-Rice Terrain
Model, which is usually what I use for most of the work I
do for Utility Partners customers.

For amateur use this is really nice software, and I am in
the process of setting up a LINUX laptop, this will be one
of the first tools out side of Star Office and the usual
other stuff that I will have on that machine.
