Subject: [FADCA] New BBS program wants

Hi All

Now is your chance to have some input to a new/updated bbs program. I got
the code for AA4RE (rebbs) bbs program and sent it to Jeff who just sent me
a message back saying

I've been looking through the code and it looks like it's very well written
and thoroughly
commented. I don't know yet for sure, but I'm thinking this should not be
too hard to get through it and understand what it's doing. I think I'm
going to install the bbs and see what it looks like. I think it should take
a week or so to get through he code. I suggest we start putting together
our "wish list" or features so I can figure out what to add once I get most
of it converted.

The code that I sent him is the MARS version that has pactor in it already.

Here is what we have been tossing around so far.
Add compressed forwarding.
Add driver support for AGWPE.
Check that it will do pactor 2 and 3
Run in windows 98, win2k and XP. 32 bit mode
do telnet
Set program up around a core engine so you can just click on the options
that you want to run and not have to have a bunch of things that it can do
that take up space that you aren't going to use. This would make setup very
simple.

We were also talking about combining the best of REBBS and FBB which would
add a lot to the program.

Well I'll stop here and turn the floor over to everyone and let you get
your "wants" out on the list.
Please take the time to send me your needs and wants. I'm not only asking
for the bbs sysops input I also want input from a user stand point.

73, Bill N4XEO
