[FADCA] Coordination, Renewals, Updates, Deletions

I really appreciate the information folks have sent, but when the
principals involved in a switch or device don't submit a coordination
request or renewal or update I am missing a lot of information.
We are beginning to turn coordination into a listing. I don't get
elevations, patterns, the name or address of the sysop, no one to contact if
there is a problem. Calls change, devices are not listed that appear in the
database and even those on the FADCA web page are not accounted for.
Frequencies are missing, new frequencies show up and there has been no
coordination request or study.
I am entering information that is different than received previously. The
call and name of the previous submission is not even present and no means
given to contact the principals.
Calls of people to contact are included in the list but no email address, no
address, nothing. If I can find them in QRZ there is often no email address
and more often, it is not correct.
Somehow we have got to get this coordination stuff under control.
We actually don't have coordination.
Coordination is a formal process where the location, elevation, pattern,
power and those legally responsible are stated. The decision to coordinate
one device as opposed to another is based on a lot of factors, not the least
of which is a "signed" submission by the responsible party.
I am asked to change things in the database but the person asking me is not
the person who submitted the original information, is not identified as the
responsible person, there is no indication of relationship with the supposed
sponsoring organization.
I am spending hours entering data that I have little confidence in since it
does not come from the person or organization who's call is on the device.
I am sent "estimated" Lat and Lon information, but I am expected to make a
decision based on a separation in distance that is based on certain
geographical and elevation and frequency considerations.
This is a matter that must be discussed at the FADCA meeting in Orlando.
We don't have coordination. I can not do the job that I am supposed to do
the way information is being submitted now. It is not being being done
right.
I can not stand behind a coordination that is given because too little
information is given when the information comes to me. When I request
additional information it is not often coming from the person who's call
appears on the device, an identified trustee or sysop, or the organization
that is supposedly sponsoring the equipment.
Devices are dropped from the list and that causes them to be deleted from
the database and coordination for the frequency and area is lost. When I try
to contact the person who request coordination, they can't be found. That is
not right. When I sought coordination of my repeaters I submitted
information and signed that it was correct. I don't what someone else
sending information in to the FRC changing the location, frequency, height,
pattern, etc. I would loose my coordination if that was allowed.
We are doing just that, the way this is being handled now.
I am going to finish the 12/4/03 list that was given to me by WB4MOZ, but
after this, coordination, renewals, changes, etc. must be done by a Director
or the Owner or Trustee with organizational approval. The coordination
information must be "signed" from the web site. Otherwise I can not do it.
