Bud,
As far as I can rememeber you have to run the setkiss file first. The
kiss params
are not set from FPAC DOS. I do not remember why but that is the way it is. If
you need to change a KISS parameter you have to do so with the setkiss file
and run setkiss and restart DOS FPAC. Indeed your .bat file should always run
setkiss then start FPAC.
If you all will grab the knoppix afu CD you can get started on getting
fpac linux
by learning how to set up the ax25 stuff. There is a setup tool in
there that will
do it for you. Learning how to setup the ax25 and netrom stuff is the
biggest part
and that CD will do most of it for you. Once you can make ax25 calls from the
console, you just load FPAC on top of it all setup the fpac.conf file
and off it goes.
I am hoping to get on a install CD but I have a lot to learn about
setting up the
configuration files that create the screens that walk you through the process.
I am manually setting up the files for the conversion of the Tampa County Center
switch, then from there I will do the EOC switch. We also have to set up the
MOSI switch again, and then I will have to look at the CLW switch and see what
I have to work with there.
