If you already have a DOS FPAC switch you can use the same KISS eproms that
you are using with DOS.

The Knoppix_AFU CD that I had at the Tampa hamfest installs the AX25
stuff all you
have to do is install the FPAC stuff. and of course set up your config files.

If you do a google on knoppix-afu you will find it. We did some copies
at the hamfest.
It will take care of most of the setup stuff you need to do, then you
are only left with
the fpac stuff.

I recommend that people get the knoppix afu cd and start by setting up the ax25
stuff. learn how that works then add the fpac piece to it that makes
things a lot clearer.

AX25 is integrated into the linux comms stack so it will become a
integral part of the
OS once set up.
