You are indeed correct, I want to try both 50 MHz and 220 MHz. A lot of those
old surplus antennas are very sturdy and will probably live through a
pretty good
wind. 50 MHz would really be good for the long haul stuff. Though I
remember that
the path from Tampa to Miami on the 220 link was always good when they linked
the repeater systems.

We need to probe more into these modes and see what will work for us, then put
it to work.
