C is a level 2 connect command, you are using the switch as a
overloaded terminal program, and indeed your connect is either
to a station on the default port or on the stipulated port. i.e.
c k0zxf (connects to k0zxf on the default port)
c 3:k0zxf (connects to k0zxf on port 3)

K uses the switch you do a k v address without worrying about a
source switch call.

K k0zxf v 813981

I think that was the syntax, you may not need the v (via) This command
will cause the switch to establish a level 2 or 3 connect via it's
internals to the call indicated at the address indicated. If the address
is the local switch address it will make a level 2 connect on the default
port or where ever the routing tables may show that user to be if in the
routing tables. If it is at another address the switch will route the
call towards that address. The K command with no argument will attempt to
establish a connection with the last call that it was used with.
This is a console command only see below for the over the air command line.

K over the air is the command to enter sysop mode, it will challenge you
for your password.
