Sounds good. Here are some comments-

1. The easiest way to test the radios with the antennas is using a =
microphone and the PTT. Using the FPAC computer/keyboard to TX for =
testing long enough to check vswr, etc., is tad tricky! (Sorry about =
that). Worse case, I can walk you though that on the phone when you =
have the FPAC up and running.

Most MFGs 8-pin or RJ45 mic connectors are standard - that is to say a =
Kenwood with an 8-pin mic connector is probably wired the same as all =
Kenwoods with 8-pin mic connectors, etc. Chances are if the radio you =
want to test is BrandX your BrandX mic will work with it. Someone =
around there should be able to come up with a microphone for almost any =
radio/model for testing.

If you can send me the MFG make and model numbers of the radios, I can =
check that out for you. The only thing you'll need a microphone for is =
initial testing to determine VSWR and PO.

2. I've not worked on the 220 port on the Orlando switch yet. (House =
guests all over the place! Har) Also have two ARES/RACES presentations =
to make - one this morning, one tonight. I'll definitely work on the =
220 port Tuesday afternoon and keep you informed.

3. Charlie and I will set Sunday Nov 2 aside to come give you a hand if =
you need it. Just keep me informed. It's possible Bill, N4XEO could =
make a visit prior to that if needed.

I don't remember your saying anything lately about Polyphasors and =
single point ground, etc.. I assume you have all that worked out.

Thanks a bunch.

  Evening guys:

I have the 220 antenna re-assembled and ready to install. I will be =
working on the feed-lines this week. I have about 110ft of 1/2" =
hardline, 150ft of LMR 400 and about 150ft of 9913 , so we should have =
all the feed-line that we need. I will figure out what connectors that =
I will need and will get it all installed probably on Tuesday afternoon. =
Hopefully I will start re-awakening the radios on Tuesday afternoon as =
well. I have not had a chance to see if the VHF radio is working yet =
or not but should know when I get the feed-line installed. I will take =
some meters up with me to see if the radios are transmitting if I can =
figure out how to make them transmit. I will also be re-writing =
identification card for the sides if the cabinet per Bud's =
recommendations this week. Tx. again Bud for the input. =20

Bud, Sunday November 2nd would be the best date for me as well to do =
any final installation work on the system if needed. I will keep you =
informed of my progress this week. I will try to send out daily =
updates.

  73's to all concerned;
  Eric KD4DJW
