Hi, Jeff:
As you see you have caught me out of town! Ill be back Aug 1st, but too late to help for the short term you needed.
FYI While some of the LANs/Switches on the FADCA website are functional, not all are yet backboned together. Im only familiar with the network along the east coast from JAX to W. Palm. There is presently a hole between Orlando W4PLB-8/9 and Melbourne W4MLB-8/9. That hole will be bridged soon Im hoping before September.
The links from JAX through to Orlando are good most of the time, but there are some times when things are really slow. That too, is being addressed in the near future. Actually, the Orlando switch is temporarily located at my QTH and while Im out of town the antenna is only 45 ft agl rather than 85 agl. Actually, there was the lightning storm of the century the night we left last Friday so good thing I cranked down.
Here along the east coast from Melbourne through to JAX we are activtly working on upgrading the network and it should in great shape by late this year, including 9.6kb from JAX through to Melbourne at least. The network south from Melbourne is in good shape now.
Sorry things move so slow.. but it is the nature of the beast.
