Hi Bud and the group, you answered a question I was getting ready to ask.
My TelPac Node is hooked up to a very minimal station now but I can try to
improve it. It is currently using a 1/4 ground plane up about 15 feet and
the Yaesu FT-1500 rig is running 5 watts. I will have to look into running
more power and putting my 3 EL beam back up at maybe 25 feet or so. I think
this might do the trick.
BTW - whatever happened to the N2HBX ARES packet station that used to be on
145.07? I thought it was atop the Florida Hospital. Use it as a digi?
Thanks, Dale
PS - I see that Bud was able to hit my station this morning even though
it's running a low antenna and power. I saw a telnet error that most likly
had to do with the call n0io connfusing the system. Might have to use
something like n0io-2 ?
