Meeting in Bradenton

For FADCA -Who among the FADCA group will be attending?

Charlie, N3PPC, and I plan on leaving the Sanford area about 1000 or so
Saturday. I don't know of anyone else in this area who will be coming, but
I will be putting out the announcement on the Seminole County ARES/RACES net
this evening.

For NA4AR and KT4WX: Do you have a specific agenda or program set up? Do
you want any particular "formal" presentation by FADCA?

I can put together a Power Point presentation or use an overhead projector
with transparencies. A projector system or large TV would facilitate group
viewing of the PPt presentation. My laptop will provide external monitor
and S-Video output (though I've yet to actually try the S-Video!). We could
also have the same PPt presentation on Charlie's laptop. I expect Free,
W1NPR to be there - he always has his laptop with the entire FADCA database
on it. We can have the new interactive map of the packet network on all
three for folks to experience.

In a 30-minute formal "overview" presentation I could touch on the basics of
the following topics:

    Why digital information during emergencies?
    Florida Layered Packet Network
    Last Mile concept
How HF and the Internet fit in
    Computer terminal programs of choice

I believe Doug, WB4KGY also has a presentation he has been using for club
meeting programs.

I'm looking forward to the meeting and to building continued widespread
support for digital applications to emergency preparedness.
