Who is keeping track of the items that need to be checked/fixed in DOS =
FPAC? I think John, WB4MOZ - here is another to put on the list...
When connecting to the node (-8) The first banner shows the time of day.
When using the S command information the start time/date and current =
time/date are presented.
Start Date: 09/19/92-05:49:36
Current Date: 09/27/92-06:26:26
This information must take the year from memory rather than use the =
actual year set in the computer. Note in the above example the year 92. =
The current time 06:26:26 is correct.
The last time we installed the ORL switch (9/08/02) I forgot to set the =
computer clock. Through N4XEO I learned how to do it remotely. I now =
set it once a day automatically. The result is that the year in the =
current date does not get re set. Apparently.
A minor thing, but something to add to the growing list of stuff that =
should be checked out in DOS FPAC when we can find someone to do it.
This in no way should reduce our efforts to move into LINUX FPAC.
