Evan:

I suggest you touch base with Paul NA4AR [email protected] or Paul may
respond from this list.

Paul is heading up a working task force for Tampa Bay packet switch upgrade
and that includes getting a cross-state link from Tampa (through Lakeland?)
to Orlando.

What is the Orlando frequency you are hearing?

Orlando FPAC switch is w4plb-9
LAN 145.07
UHF (beam) north to DeLand (N0IA-9)
220 (beam) SSE to Cocoa.

The antenna height at Orlando is not more than 85 ft.

Until we can get 2.4GHz wideband, I recommend 9.6kb UHF cross-state.
However, this will require at lest one more site between Orlando and
Lakeland or (much greater antenna elevations on both ends.) While there is
a possibility of re-locating the Orlando site to one with greater antenna
height, it is not likely to work Lakeland 24/7 without an intermediate site.
