Yes, I sent a reply to it. LINUX FPAC will also afford us
that facility, in fact a LINUX box was how Brian got us
into the internet here in Tampa. Use of the tools and bits
and pieces of the communications stack in LINUX will alow
for that sort of operation, one person had asked about JNOS,
we have Brian's TNOS, and he is still alive and kicking and
doing upgrades to it. But to go from the FADCA network to
the wired world does not require the use of a BBS to do it,
just LINUX with all of the AX.25 and AXIP stuff.

You see IP over AX.25 is just treated as IP over any MAC layer,
in the AX.25 case just slower. FPAC is the networking part of
our AX.25 network, IP would be flowing inside that just as
it flows in ethernet packets, ATM packets, ppp packets or
whatever link layer protocol sets around it. Once it hits a
box where it is routed to another network it is up to that
networks drivers to encap it with the proper link layer protocol.
