This falls into the comments in my note to Dale. The text based
browser, client concept is very good because it usually sends
a minimal amount of overhead on the links. Remember that there
will be places where a 1k2 port maybe all that is available,
either due to lack of money or higher speed users. We have to
keep that always in the back of our mind.

I was over at PacComm the other day talking to Linda about this
very thing, I also asked her about a USB TNC, that is of more
interest to her at this moment, though if we could get enough
people to ask about it, I am sure she would be most interested
in attempting to build a PCI Card based TNC. She already has one
that has about that form factor it just needs to be put in a
PCI Card case with the proper connector on each end. PacComm is
one of the few packet radio manufacturers still out there and
again they are located right here in Tampa.
