It would appear from some of the FBB e-mail reflectors that winfbb32 has not
been a winner so far.  Bill, N4XEO has had some experience with it.

LINFBB has been the most stable FBB box to date- we do have one ham in this
area who has mastered it - but he is a LINUX expert.  I would expect several
of us here will be moving to LINFBB one of these days as he is building a
"plug 'n play" scheme for those of us who do not know LINUX.

It is likely that WinFBB (16bit) is about as simple as you can go and have
telnet capability.

I've not set up WinFBB for telnet port, but I believe it is not a major
operation.

The WinFBB or LINFBB  install is reasonably simple and straightforward as a
first approximation.  There is a Q&A session that builds the all important
port.sys file.

I'm not familiar with Win2K OS/servers.

Eventually the BBS you run should be accessible to others in your Local Area
on the 2M LAN and you should have another RF port to one of the network
nodes/switches once we get one within gunshot of you.

I do not have anything elaborate here other than a 1270c (used on another

i have looked around for something, but nothing works well at all.
any clues or idea's? like to get something that can be a bbs and
you can telnet to with ease. I like what w4jax has, but seems like
it has and awful lot of stuff on it as is....
