Deltona=20
Sunday March 31 1800EST

This morning we had 123% success with our pre-demo vhf/hf demonstration =
for tomorrow's show at the Deltona EOC. For the HF WL2K/Airmail test I =
prepared a short note addressed to the FADCA email group with cc: to =
John Fink, the contact at the EOC who was working with us. Six minutes =
after I finished linking with WB5KSD near Dallas on 20M, John came =
walking down the hall with a printed copy of the message.

I wondered what happened to the FADCA copy - then it arrived just a few =
minutes ago here on my e-mail. I realize now that the input to the =
fadca mailman was not from my normal e-mail but from [email protected] =
which is not registered on fadca. I was surprised that it came through =
at all... bet Bill did it- Thanks, Bill.

The message was received by [email protected] at 10:58 EST- about =
four minutes after I finished the link with WB5KSD.

We'll do it again tomorrow and include the Chief's e-mail!

The G5RV antenna at the EOC is only about 25 ft off the pavement - and =
has 4:1 VSWR on 40 and not much better on 80. It is too high to use on =
30, but great on 20m. I'll be meeting with the City later this week to =
discuss antennas at the new EOC - we'll have a better HF wire then.
That said, we worked WL2K stations in TX and IL between 1020 and 1050 =
EST. Three others we tried were probably busy on other frequencies.

73,
bud N0IA
