As it turns out, as this was being discussed I did do a
Connect from TLH on 3/27 into the SEDAN network and could
connect to St. Augustine, but the identities of NODES beyond
there was obscure. I did not communicate with anything
other than that one NODE (recognizing that my connect
probably involved all of the devices East of Tallahassee.)
Had I known this discussion was taking place I would have
been quite willing to accept connects from other parties.

Now, I will be back in Tallahassee 4/17 PM until 4/19 PM and
will leave my station on.

I will advise but I should be able to have a mail box
operational to both receive and enable the reading of a
"bulletin" from Tallahassee.

My trip to Tallahassee in May will be later in the month,
but, right now, I don't see a reason I could not go on May
5. I would, however, encourage a demonstration of various
systems rather than just a presentation. I think a
successful demonstration of the capabilities of the variety
of systems available would be much better than just a
presentation.

Now for the questions.

1. ARE there any HF digital stations that can be
communicated with in the Tallahassee area that have VHF
packet capabilities that can be used for both a
demonstration and when we actually need it?

2. ARE there any HF or VHF to Internet gateways operational
that can be used to demonstrate and also be used when we
actually need them?

3. ARE the resources in #1 and #2 available for repetitive
tests and training prior to May 4 and afterward?

Talk is easy. Performance (especially repeatable
performance) is the real proof.
