Cutting right to the chase: Read Chuck's email thoroughly. Then read it
again.
We have an opportunity to make a presentation at the State level on how the
layered packet network can be used to good advantage for emergency
communications. I think we should do it. This would be on Saturday May 4
in Tallahassee.
We can no longer sit back and bitch that someone (T. Nolan/SEDAN) has a
lock on the State EOC! If we make a presentation and fail, so be it, then
we will know we just couldn't cut the mustard.
If no one else can/will I will volunteer to FADCA to volunteer to John
Fleming / Tom Nolan to make a presentation at the SEDAN meeting in Tampa in
early May. Who ever makes the presentation should not be there w/o any
physical support... He will need a cheering session and maybe a body guard!
That said, you need to know my Mad Plan for Florida is not "FADCA" network,
but a FADCA-sponsored layered packet network, which includes LANs/backbones,
and HF ARQ links.
Interesting that John Flemming indicated "FADA" didn't have much coverage
north, but did not say that SEDAN had absolutely no coverage south in the
State!
