Dale, thank you for your response. I have also followed Rick's response and the discussion from Chuck and John regarding the operating systems. As I type this response from my RH 7.0 system, let  me say, I  concur with your observations.

What version of Windows will Airmail operate? WL2K? Am I understanding correctly that "airmail" and WL2K are separate programs in "airmail" is not just a user interface to WL2K? How much memory  does it take? Hard drive resources? What processor speed is required?

Maybe part of the question should have been  poised to Rick?

It appears that the VHF/HF "user" station  can be any AX.25 station, is that correct? Is there any filter  that would   keep a X.121, Netrom, Rose,FPAC device from communicating with  station with either WL2K or   "airmail"? (Is this software compatable with these VHF/UHF "networking" systens?
