[FADCA] Interesting Observation

That is what they look like to me. Something that is quite in the realm of
possibility for HAMs to build for our use. The infratructure to support the
system would be the biggest problem.

Due to the short range of such devices, their use as a mobile unit would
require access points at distances that would make the system very difficult
to establish and maintain.

Since they are using unlicesensed services, if a city/county or even
"citizen" established wireless LAN system was installed, they would work.
Unless they were reprogrammed to operate on the Amateur portion of the 2.4
Ghz band, HAMs would just have to control what enteres the "licensed"
frequencies. Then the HAM community would have to build the infrastructure.

I thought there was information last year that there is a Florida company
that would sell HAMs the equipment they build for another country that
operates the unlicensed service on the same portion of the band we have for
amateur licensed use. Anyone know about this or remember who the company was
or have a contact with them?

But, I agree, they look like repackaged "Linksys" type cards.
