[ETS/PARC List] September 2020 Meeting Minutes

Bellow are the September meeting minutes.  Remember that we have an 
upcoming meeting tonight at 8pm on our 2 meter repeater.

*Minutes for the Meeting on September 25th, 2020 (via repeater)*

*Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)*

The Meeting was called to order by President Vic Pennetta, K2NBC at 8:03 
PM on the K2ETS repeater. This was followed by the check-ins of 
participating members.

*Minutes –Accepted – KC2PI motioned, KC2YRC Seconded.*

*Treasures Report (*KC2YRC, Treasurer*)*

Everything is OK. Got small insurance refunds due to COVID. May be able 
to save a monthly bank fee.

*Committee Reports – *

*Technical Committee –

WB2HKK - *Status Quo. Got approval from Somerset County to tie into 
their UPS system. We were not aware we had lost our old UPS when it was 
taken out of service. Router is directly into UPS now.The trees have 
been trimmed so our FIOS connection is now safer.
*KD2ARB – *220 repeater linked to Central NJ group.All is well.

Don – *Cancer is acting up again. He is taking a break and we may not 
hear from him.
*Drew – *Email about a potential new member.**Back in hospital. Fluid in 
lungs being drained.

*Comments*

*KC2PI – *Question about if our VE testing was continuing. *KD2PMP* – 
Responded with information from our website about our new Drive Up 
testing plan.

*KC2PI – *Got**Amateur Extra Class book and _Energy Choices for the 
Radio Amateur_ by guy who invented APRS.Learned a lot about DC energy 
systems, electric vehicles, and other things.Not too technical but not 
too simplistic. Good book.

*K2NBC* – Has been busy with school ventilation needs. 92-year-old 
mother has been in hospital.She is stabilized now. Much better.
