[ETS/PARC List] ETS of NJ June 2020 Minutes

Bellow are the June meeting minutes.  Remember that we have an upcoming 
meeting on Friday, July 31 at 8pm. I expect it will be conducted on our 
2 meter repeater.  We may not be able to meet in person for an extended 
period of time.  I think it is important for us to try to maintain our 
connections until things can return to normal. Consider checking in to 
our meeting if you are able. If people email me their call signs, first 
name and location after the meeting I can check you in as, "listening", 
if you are unable to transmit.

The Meeting was called to order by Vice President Bill, K2WLR filling in 
for the president on short notice at 8:02 PM on the K2ETS repeater. This 
was followed by the check-ins of participating members.

Prior meeting minutes were sent to club email list.

Summary presented by W2OIL. Detailed report will be sent via email to 
officers. Club is solvent. Verizon and normal monthly bills.

*Len WB2HKK – Repeater’s output amplifier (Mirage) went bad. Was on the 
air with just 390 milliwatts (could still be heard).Switched to backup 
repeater tray at 16 watts, which worked fine. Worked on amplifier. 
Replacement was considered, but Drew suggested replacing the fuse holder 
rather than the amplifier for $700. The amplifier has been repaired and 
returned to service and working well.

Trees are overgrowing power and fiber-lines. Len emailed Drew photos and 
details and he forward to the correct authorities. Hopefully will be 
trimmed before we have another fiber line down.

KB2LLM - 220 is good and backup in Elizabeth is good. All is well.

Still scheduled for August. Check not cashed yet. Conditions unknown.May 
need to make decision at July meeting.
