Dear NPARC members, I was advised Friday of a conflict with our Auction planned for Saturday, February 22nd at New Providence High School. Specifically: ?Our School athletic department has scheduled an event on the same day. Being that High School events take priority ? we will have to adjust your usage. ?. it will not be possible for both events to run at the same time. The High School event is a major fundraiser that our Students run and will include up to 800 people. With our Student athletes schedule's being so stringent we could not possibly hold our event any other day.? The high school administrator worked through and suggested some options to me. (I very much appreciate her diligence and helpfulness.) We held an emergency Executive Board Meeting last evening to discuss the alternatives and select the best option. Since there is much publicity distributed already, we picked what I call the ?same time, same day solution? to try and minimize impact on attendees and our own members schedules. That solution is to move the auction to *the Salt Brook School cafeteria at 40 Maple Street*, keeping the same February 22 date and 1:30 PM start time (with set up starting at noon). This is the room we used to have our club meetings in. I believe we will be able to conduct our auction just fine there. This new location is approved by the school and we are proceeding with publicity, including the following: confirm new location done 2/4/20 W2PTP notify ARRL W2PTP inform membership This email W2PTP notify Div Dir and SCM W2PTP update website W2PTP, KC2WUF notify KD2JRI, N2TO W2PTP notify other nets KC2OSR do sign for NPHS doors K2YG release new publicity K2AL I hope this works out okay for everyone. 73 Paul Wolfmeyer W2PTP President NPARC 201-404-6914 _._,_._,_ ------------------------------ Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
