Minutes for the Meeting on April 27th, 2018

Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)



The Meeting was called to order by   President Vic Pennetta, K2NBC at 
8:10 PM on April 27, 2018.  This was followed by the reciting of the 
Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in 
attendance.

Meeting Minutes

As the minutes of the March 2018 meeting were successfully e-mailed to 
the membership, the formal reading was waived. A motion was made by 
W2OIL and was seconded by KC2YRC. The motion was adopted by the 
membership.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer’s report as given by Dan KC2YRC.

Opening Balance $XXXXXX 
Income – 50/50 $XXXXX, Coffee Kitty $XXXX, Dues $XXXXX ,

Disbursement –  WB2HKK XXXXXX parts, , Bank Service Fee $XXXXX, Verizon 
$XXXXX 
Closing Balance - $XXXXXXX 
A motion was made by W2OIL and seconded by KC2PI to accept the 
Treasurer's Report. This was approved by the membership.

Correspondence

NONE

Technical Report

Len WB2HKK  gave the technical report – 2 meter repeater is running 
fine- everything is progressing smoothly

on the repeater build.

Presentations

Chris KC2PI gave a presentation on the subject of digital modes of 
operation.

Kevin KD2BXF followed up with a demonstration of radio and computer 
setup at the meeting for digital modes…

Demonstrating different types of modes..

Old Business

Date was set for picnic it will be August 26, 2018….as time gets closer 
info will be emailed to members.

New Business

Rich KB2LLM found a ham that would like to donate radio equipment to the 
club, His call is AA2QT Thomas

Dowling. Rich will provide further info on the gentleman’s donation.

Health and Welfare

George W2VFW was not at the meeting taking care of Judy WB2AST 
recovering from recent fall

Rich KB2LLM mourning loss of his beloved CHRYSLER IMPERIAL due to a fire 
on a recent trip

Adjournment

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 PM by W2OIL and was 
seconded by N2JUN

50/50 – Won by Dave W2OIL, $XXXXX all donated back to the club. Thanks 
to Bill W2WK for running the 50/50
