*** New Club ***
Congratulations to the AT&T Middletown Amateur Radio Club for becoming NNJ newest ARRL Affiliated Club. AMTARC is comprised of present and former AT&T (and Bell Labs) employees from the Middletown Facility. Middletown is fortunate to have an active club station used by amateur operators as well as MARS and SHARES.

*** Maker Faire Next Weekend ***
World Maker Faire 2017 is NEXT WEEKEND at New York Hall Of Science in Queens, NY. The ARRL will be there including Division Director Mike Lisenco, N2YBB as well as others from HQ. If you've never been to a Maker Faire, it is a celebration of making and creativity. Their tag line is "The Greatest Show and Tell on Earth!" It spans a broad range of topics from food, crafts, alternative energy, electronics, robotics, vehicles and even RADIO. If there is something you can build it will likely be represented there. Bring your whole family! The ARRL will be teaching kids how to solder together their own code practice oscillator! 721MCB was there a few years back with it's pole climbing antenna platform ( http://wc2fd.com/eaps ) and was interviewed by the BBC (video here http://goo.gl/qSvLRr ). This year the "racing subsidiary"of 721MCB will be there with it's HIGH TECH Power Wheels race car ( http://wc2fd.com/prs ). I'll be there Sunday, hope to see you!
