Minutes for the Meeting on February 24th, 2017Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)
The Meeting was called to order by  President Vic Pennetta, K2NBC at 8:07 PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in attendance.  
Meeting SuspendedAt this point, the regular meeting was suspended for a presentation by RobRoschewsk KA2PBT, who is running for ARRL Section Manager for NNJ. The meeting resumed at 8:30 PM.
Meeting MinutesMinutes for the January meeting were successfully emailed. A motion was made by K2DSV and seconded by W2OU to accept them.
Treasurer’s ReportTreasurer’s report as given by Dan KC2YRC.January 2017 Opening Balance - $XXXX.40Income -   50/50s - $XX, Coffee Kitty - $X,  Members Dues & Donations - $XXX.00Deposit - $XXX.00Regular Disbursements -  $XX.00 Bank Service Fee , $XX.45 Verizon PaymentClosing Balance - $XXXX.95–  so we are $XXXX.39“ahead” compared  to last year.A motion was made by W2OIL and seconded by N2JUNto accept the Treasurer's Report. This was approved by the membership.
CorrespondenceQSL CardsK2DSV made the suggestion to pool member's mailing of QSL cards to the ARRL Outgoing QSL Bureau, as fees were recently raised by the League.
Technical ReportRich KB2LLM announced the repeaters are in good health. The Technical Committee is still looking for members.Len WB2HKK is in the process of building a backup repeater from commercial components.
Old BusinessNo word on a possible recipient of a donation in KG2CJ's memory.
New BusinessThe Lion's Club of Scotch Plains will be holding their final “Annual Breakfast” on Sunday March 5th from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.Picnic – Currently looking into the possibility of Brookside Park again. Availability and the current fee have to researched.Thanks was given to Rodolfo N2HRJ for his continued role as NCS of the Wednesday Night Information Net.
Health and WelfareAl W2DTP had passed away.  
AdjournmentA motion was made to adjourn the meeting by W2OIL and was seconded by N2JUN. The meeting was adjourned at 9:27 PM50/50 – Won by KD2MRB– The prize was $XX.50
