Minutes for the Meeting on July 28th 2017
Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)

The Meeting was called to order by  President Vic Pennetta, K2NBC at 8:02
PM. This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then
by self-introductions of all those in attendance.

Meeting Minutes
Minutes for the June meeting were successfully emailed. A motion was made
by W2OU and seconded by KC2YRC to accept them, after a correction. It was
reported in the June 2017 minutes that Len WB2HKK had donated $100 to the
club after the W2QW Hamfest. That was a typographical error – the amount
was $400. Apologies to WB2HKK.

Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer’s report as given by Dan KC2YRC.
March 2017 Opening Balance - $  XXXX.95
Income -   50/50 - $XX.00,  Coffee Can $5.00, Hamfest and donations $XXX.00
Deposit - $XXX.00
Regular Disbursements -  $XX.00 Bank Service Fee , $XX.52 Verizon Payment,
Club Insurance $XXX.00
Closing Balance - $XXXX.43–  so we are $XXX.30 “ahead” compared  to last
year.
A motion was made by W2OIL and seconded by WB2HKK to accept the Treasurer's
Report. This was approved by the membership.

Technical Report
The new 2 Meter Repeater is working well.  Pete KD2ARB came forth with a
proposal to do the same thing to the 220 Repeater – construct a new one out
of two commercial (Alinco) radios. He estimated a budgetary cost of
approximately $XXX to $XXX to complete the project. A motion was made
byKC2YRC and was seconded by KC2PI to authorize a $XXX budget for the
project. The motion was passed by unanimous consent of the membership.

Old Business
Picnic – Wil be held Sunday, August 27th at Brookside Park
W2WK reported that there was no action on the raffle of the club straight
key at the Sussex Hamfest, so he held off for now.

New Business
The club officially thanked Rich KB2LLM for bringing in $XXX to the club as
a result of his sales at the Sussex Hamfest.
Pete KD2ARB announced that due to a work schedule change, he can no longer
run the Wednesday evening net. Larry W2LJ agrred to take the 2nd and 3rd
Wednesdays, schedule permitting. Others to fill in as needed.

Health and Welfare
Gene K2KJI's wife is doing better.
Ron WV2RJR's wife is still recovering from knee surgery.
Hank N2MU's father had recently passed.
Paul KC2VRJ's grandfather recently passed.

Adjournment
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by W2OIL and was seconded by
W2VFW. The meeting was adjourned at 8:501PM
50/50 – Won by  KB2LLM – donated back to the club
