Minutes for the Meeting on September 30th, 2016Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)
The Meeting was called to order by  Vice President Vic Pennetta, K2NBC at 8:08 PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in attendance.  
Meeting MinutesThe minutes of the August 2016 meeting were read. A motion was made by WB2HKK and was seconded by K2DSV. The motion was adopted by the membership.
Treasurer’s ReportTreasurer’s report as given by Dan KC2YRC.Opening Balance $XXXX.13Income – 50/50 $XX Coffee Kitty $X, Dues $XX, Deposit - $XX.00Disbursement – WB2HKK Repeater Parts $XX.00, Bank Service Fee $XX.00, Verizon $XX.59Closing Balance - $XXXX.54 ($XXXX.45 ahead of last year)A motion was made by W2OIL and seconded by N2JUN to accept the Treasurer's Report. This was approved by the membership.
CorrespondenceRecently received QSL cards  A Thank You card from W2OU for the Get Well card sent to him. AN e-mail from Ron WV2RJR, stating that he would not be able to attend the meeting.
Technical ReportThe Technical Committee reported that there was a problem with the Raspberry PI.  Otherwise, the repeaters themselves are doing fine. The SD cards were acting up and these the the PI which repeater is on which port.Len WB2HKK expained how the recently purchased Web controlled power switch works.W2LJ volunteered to become a Control Operator, WB2HKK to e-mail the control codes.
Old BusinessThe Net will continue with N2HRJ and W2LJ acting as NCS stations.
New BusinessThe annual ETS Christmas Party and combine Nov/Dec meeting will be on Friday December 2nd.
Health and WelfareBoth Drew W2OU and Marv K2VHW continue to improve. Jeff N2VHV's wife suffered a broken wrist and is going in for surgery. Both Jeff N2VHV and Al W2DTP are doing well.
Good of the ClubMarv K2VHW gave a report on the arrest of Danny Delice – noted jammer and interferer in the area.
Martin WN2SJL donated a closed circuit video surveillance system for next year's Hamfest table.Warren mentioned running into Bob W2TSQ while travelling out west.Vic K2NBC “Show and Tell'ed” a Tokyo Hi Power Antenna Coupler with dual needle indicators.
AdjournmentA motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 9:50 PM by N2JUN and was seconded by K2DSV 50/50 – Won by K2NBC, and was  donated back to the club.
