Minutes for the Meeting on February 26th, 2016Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)
The Meeting was called to order by  Vice President Dave Vadney, W2OIL at 8:06 PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in attendance.  
Meeting MinutesAs the minutes of the January 2016 meeting were successfully e-mailed to the membership, the formal reading was waived. A motion was made by W2WIQ and was seconded by N2JUN. The motion was adopted by the membership.
Treasurer’s ReportTreasurer’s report as given by Vic K2NBC.February 26th Opening Balance $XXXX.56Income – 7 membership dues $XXX, Anonymous donation $XX, 50/50 $XX, Coffee Kitty $XX Deposit - $XXXDues received after deposit - $XXDisbursement – Verizon $XX.60Closing Balance - $XXXX.96 (Ahead of last year by $XXX.53)A motion was made by WB2HKK and seconded by WA2USM to accept the Treasurer's Report. This was approved by the membership.

Nominating CommitteeLooking for volunteers to form a slate to be voted on in April
Technical ReportRich KB2LLM reported that all is well with the repeater(s). The 2 Meter repeater is running off the internal controller and the Raspberry PI.  It was decided by the Technical Committee that the repeater will be switched over to Raspberry PI control as the primary control method.  It was also announced that Len WB2HKK is working on scripting which will lower the volume of the node connect/disconnect announcements.
Old BusinessRVRC Hamfest – June 18th. An e-mail will be sent out to try and poll the membership for items to be sold at the table.
New BusinessPicnic – Vic to check on the price and availability of the venue.Tech Net – The 2 Meter repeater will be linked to an established Tech net on Friday evenings at 10:00 PM
Health and WelfareJeff N2VHV is out of the hospital and is undergoing rehab.
PresentationLen WB2HKK gave a presentation on the All Star System.
