Minutes for the Meeting on February 27th, 2015Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)
The Meeting was called to order by  Vice President Dave Vadney, W2OIL at 8:12 PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in attendance.  
Meeting MinutesThe January minutes were successfully e-mailed to all members. With that in mind, a motion was made by Mike N2JUN and Drew W2OU to suspend the reading and the minutes were accepted as published.
Treasurer’s ReportTreasurer’s report as given by Vic K2NBC.Opening Balance - $XXXX.57Income -   50/50 $XX winnings donated back, $6 Coffee Kitty, $XXX DuesDeposit - $XXX. The dues and a $XX donation from AB2ZK made up a 2nd deposit of $XXRegular Disbursements - $XX.XX February Verizon,Closing Balance - $XXXX.43 –  so we are $XX.23 “ahead” compared  to the balance from same time last year.Dues are little behind and notices will be going out.A motion was made by W2WIQ and seconded by WB2HKK to accept the Treasurer’s Report. By unanimous vote the report was accepted.
CorrespondenceVic read a flier that was received regarding the NJ Antiqure Radio Club's Swap Meet to be held on March 14th in Parsippany.
Technical ReportRich KB2LLM reported the 2 Meter repeater is fine. Due to winter weather, there still has been no access to the repeater site for installing the 220 MHz amplifier. The backup repeater was out due to a power failure at the site, but it was reset  during the weekend prior to the meeting.Lenny WB2HKK built a UHF “toolbox” repeater and will bring it to an upcoming meeting. 440.05 MHz out – 449.05 MHz in.
CommitteesThe picnic will be held on Sunday, June 7th. Dan and Dave are looking for help.
Old BusinessMike Terrusso will be at the February meeting to give his presentation on high altitude ballooning.
New BusinessThe Scotch Plains Lions Club Breakfast is to be held on Sunday March 1st from 8:00 AM until Noon.W2LJ will be giving a presentation on “QRP and the Great Outdoors” at the May 4th meeting of the Tri-County Radio Club.
Health and WelfarePete Fierro KD2ARB's father had passed away.Don K2DSV's wife Jean was having some gall bladder surgery.
AdjournmentA motion was made to adjourn the meeting by N2JUN and was seconded by W2WIQ. The meeting was adjourned at 9:46 PM.
