[ETS/PARC List] Jeff Battis, N2NSU SK

Members,

I was in the Radio Shack store in South Plainfield rummaging through their
going out of business stock sale to find stuff for the project box, They are
now at the 70-80% discount level. I felt a tap on my shoulder and was
greeted by member Warren Donaldson, KB2UHZ. Warren has been away for a while
having recently relocated. He will be at our March meeting.

In the conversation he informed me that Jeff Battis had passed away around
January 2015 after battling leukemia. Jeff was a past president of ETSNJ
during the years 1997-1998 following Dr. Paul Scipione. His Vice President
was Bill Koeth W2WK. They framed the By-laws and Constitution the club
operates under to this date.

Warren informed me there are plans to have a memorial service for Jeff
Battis in May of 2015. If this develops I will get the information out to
the group. Until then everyone please Be Well.
