Just a heads up to alert you to a gentleman operating on the club 
repeater.

Bill attended our last club meeting and several of us have spoken to 
him. He seems to be a well meaning individual with an enthusiam for ham 
radio. His actual address is in Plainfield. He participated in the SPARC 
Field Day event this weekend for most of the duration of the event.

The problem is that Bill is operating with an expired license. His 
license expired in March of 2014. As we know one cannot operate on the 
ham band with an expired license. In short the day one's license expires 
is the day all transmissions must cease until the license is renewed. He 
is still within the 2 year grace period but the restrictions are clear.

Several of us have extended an offer to Bill to assist in getting his 
license renewed. This is not a difficult process but he has to take the 
initiative to get the ball rolling.

Until that occurs please do not respond to his call outs until the 
matter is resolved. I have sent an email to another individual that 
knows Bill and lives nearby again offering assistance.
