Minutes for the Meeting on March 27th, 2015Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)
The Meeting was called to order by President Dave Jeff Lih, N2VHV at 8:05 PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in attendance.  
The meeting was suspended at 8:08 PM for a presentation on High Altitude Ballooning by Mike Terusso WA4LOQ. The meeting was reconvened at 9:22 PM.
Meeting MinutesThe February minutes were successfully e-mailed to all members. With that in mind, a motion was made by Mike N2JUN and Drew W2OU to suspend the reading and the minutes were accepted as published.
Treasurer’s ReportTreasurer’s report as given by Vic K2NBC.Opening Balance - $XXXX.43Income -   50/50 $XX winnings donated back, $8.63 Coffee Kitty, $XXX DuesDeposit - $XXX.63  Regular Disbursements - $XX.14 March Verizon,Closing Balance - $XXXX.92 –  so we are $17.46 “behind” compared  to the balance from same time last year.A motion was made by W2OIL and seconded by WB2WIQ to accept the Treasurer’s Report. By unanimous vote the report was accepted.
CorrespondenceNone
Technical ReportRich KB2LLM reported the 220 Amplifier would be going in the weekend immediately after the meeting – possibly Sunday. Rich also mentioned the FiOS backup battery at the back up repeater site needs to be replaced. Rich also said that while they are at the site installing the 20 MHz amp that they would tweak the audio and courtesy tone of the 2 Meter repeater. And once again, the audio distortion problem that occurs when the repeater is linked was discussed.
CommitteesThe picnic will be held on Sunday, June 7th. Dan and Dave are looking for help.
Old BusinessDon K2DSV brought up the need for QSL cards for K2ETS and help in designing one.
New BusinessDrew W2OU gave a summary of the successful Clark CERT Technician licensing class, where 80% of the students earned their licenses.
Health and WelfareJeff N2VHV is feeling much better after winter time COPD problems. He thanked Dave W2OIL and Drew W2OU for their help and support while he was under the weather.Drew W2OU mentioned that there would be a memorial serve for SK Burt Elder on April 6th.
AdjournmentA motion was made to adjourn the meeting by W2OIL and was seconded by N2JUN. The meeting was adjourned at 10:02. PM.
