 4U1UN the United Nations (UN) Headquarters station has been off the
>air as it was dismantled in early 2010 due to the massive renovation
>project on the Secretariat Building.  All of the antennas were removed
>from the roof and all of the equipment packed up and are being stored
>in the UN.  The renovations are complete, unfortunately due to
>security concerns the club station will not return to its former
>penthouse.  The concern is the UN Secretary General's office is on the
>37th floor.  The club has been seeking other options, which at one time
>included a remote station, having the club station located on the
>ground floor with a 400-500 foot feedline or moving the station to
>another UN building.

>The 4U1UN NCDXF-IARU Beacon went back on the air as of mid-June of
>this year.  They were able to install the beacon with an antenna on
>the roof of the Secretariat Building.
