for the Meeting on April
25th, 2014

Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)


The Meeting was
called to order by President Jeff Lih N2VHV at 8:12 PM.  This was
followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by
self-introductions of all those in attendance.
Meeting Minutes
The March Minutes were successfully received via e-mail, therefore a
motion was made to suspend the reading of the minutes and also for
their acceptance.  Motion was made by N2JUN and was seconded by
K2DSV. The motion was unanimously passed.
Treasurer’s
Report
Treasurer’s report
as of April 25th given by Vic K2NBC.
Opening Balance -
$XXXX.38
Income -  50/50
$XX.50, Dues $XX.00, Coffee kitty $XX.00, two picnic tickets $XX.00,
and a donation by W2WIQ of $5.00. $XX.00 was disbursed to KB2LLM for
expenses incurred.  A deposit of $XXX.50 was made after the March
meeting.
Disbursements -
$XX.85 to Verizon
Closing Balance -
$XXXX.03
Last year at this
time our balance was $XXXX.12 – we are “up” $XXX.91 from this
point last year.
Notes from Vic:
1) The liability and
equipment insurance premium payments will be due shortly, as well as
the annual filing of the NJ Corporation Report.
A motion was made by AB2VE and seconded by KB2LLM to accept the
Treasurer’s Report. By unanimous vote the report was accepted.
Correspondence
A letter was
received from the insurance company that our policies are active and
up for renewal, and that several new services will be available – a
50K limit to cover a “Loss event”, 50K worth of coverage to use
the insurance company's PR firm if needed, as well as 50K worth of
“crisis coverage”.
Technical Report
Rich KB2LLM reported
that the repeater is working fine.  The 220 MHz amplifier has still
not been shipped and may not even be built yet.  Various calls to MFJ
have not yielded a definitive answer.  As of right now, the 200 MHz
repeater is putting out 3 Watts.
Old Business
Picnic – The
picnic flier has been distributed.  The menu will consist of
hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and salads.  KB2LLM will be providing
musical entertainment.

Welfare
It was noted that
Sally Ippolito the wife of Don Ippolito KO2K had passed away.
Good of the club
Rudolpho N2HRJ mentioned that we should think of ways to encourage
net participation.

A motion was made to
adjourn the meeting by on K2DSV and was seconded by Dave W2OIL. The
meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM
