Minutes for the Meeting on October 31st, 2014Electronic Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)
The Meeting was called to order by  President Jeff Lih, N2VHV at 8:07 PM.  This was followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by self-introductions of all those in attendance.  
Meeting MinutesThe September minutes were successfully e-mailed to all members. With that in mind, a motion was made by Mike N2JUN and Drew W2OU to suspend the reading and the minutes were accepted as published.
Treasurer’s ReportTreasurer’s report as given by Vic K2NBC.Opening Balance - $XXXX.51Income -   50/50 $XX winnings donated back, coffee kitty donations of $2Deposit - $XX.00 and we took in $XX.00 in dues,Disbursements -  $XX.10 to Verizon, Closing Balance - $XXXX.41 –  so we are $XX.49 “down” compared  to last year.
A motion was made by W2LJ and seconded by N2JUN to accept the Treasurer’s Report. By unanimous vote the report was accepted.
CorrespondenceNone
Technical ReportRich KB2LLM reported the brand new 220 MHz amp is not working and needs to be shipped back for repair. With 12W input, the amplifier was putting only 5 Watts out.  Everything else is OK.
MembershipLen Griffin WB2HKK's application for membership was formally read. He was unanimously voted in by the membership.
Old BusinessJeff N2VHV attended the October Clark CERT meeting on behalf of the Club. Drew W2OU ran the Wednesday night net on his behalf.The Christmas Party will be held on December 5th at 7:00 PM. An e-mail looking to gauge attendance will be sent out before Thanksgiving.Milke Terruso's presentation on high altitude ballooning will be re-scheduled for the new year due to his commitments to the New York City Marathon.
New BusinessDrew W2OU has been appointed Assistant Division Director by the ARRL.Fourteen Clark CERT members will be taking part in a Technician Licensing Class to be offered by W2OU, K2VHW and W2LJ in January at the Clark EOC.The possibility of a monthly area CERT/ARES net was discussed. Further discussions will be held.Len WB2HKK brought up the issue about the repeater announcements. Discussion to a final solution is ongoing.
Health and WelfareVic K2NBC's mother is doing well, as is Rich KB2LLM's mother.  Joe W2OZO is on the mend after tearing his ACL. He will require surgery.
