Gentlemen,

Just a "heads up". I will be at a South Plainfield CERT Meeting this Friday at 7:00 PM.  I will attempt to make it to our meeting as soon as I can. If someone would kindly begin taking minutes, I will take it over as son as I get there.

for the Meeting on March28th, 2013
Electronic
Technology Society of New Jersey (ETS of NJ)


The Meeting was
called to order by President Jeff Lin N2VHV at 8:05 PM.  This was
followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and then by
self-introductions of all those in attendance.
Meeting Minutes
As the meeting minutes which were sent via e-mail, did not make it to
the club members, the minutes were formally read.  One item regarding
the picnic was corrected by Walter W2WIQ and then the minutes were
accepted. The motion was made by W2WIQ and seconded by N2LGS
Treasurer’s
Report
Treasurer’s report
as of March 28th given by Vic K2NBC.
Opening Balance -
$XXXX.20
Income -  50/50
$XX.00, Dues $XXX.00, Coffee kitty $3.00 for a deposit of $XXX.00 
After the deposit was made an additional $XX.00 in dues money was
accepted.
Disbursements -
$XX.82 to Verizon, $XX.00 to QSL.NET and $XX.00 Hospice donation
Closing Balance -
$XXXX.38
Last year at this
time our balance was $XXXX.39 – we are “up” $XXX.99 from this
point last year.
Notes from Vic:
1) The liability and
equipment insurance premium payments will be due shortly,
2) Most everyone has paid their dues. E-mails will go out as a
reminder to those who haven't.
A motion was made by W2WIQ and seconded by W2OIL to accept the
Treasurer’s Report. By unanimous vote the report was accepted.
Correspondence
The flier for the
Splitrock Hamfest on April 12th was read.
Technical Report
Rich KB2LLM reported
that the 20 Amp was shipped and that Gene K2KJI should have it in his
possession. Vic K2NBC was going to check with Gene,
Rich reported
everything seems to be running well.  He did not anticipate linking
with the RVRC 2 Meter repeater  for any weather emergencies as the
worst of the winter weather seems to have passed.
Rich advised that
the repeater should be keyed up before entering any command codes if
there has been no activity. This will clear the announcements out of
the way before linking for nets.
Old Business
Picnic – Picnic
space has been reserved for June 8th. It will run from
11:00 AM to whenever. The price $15.00
nper adult and $7.50 per child.  Dave W2OIL proposed reducing the
price for XYLs, but after discussion, the membership decided to keep
it as is.  It was also decided to offer another door prize this year.

Welfare
Nothing
Good of the club
Marv K2VHW gave out some ARRL handouts and gave an update on the
formation of the South Plainfield Amateur Radio Club.  ETS offered to
announce SPARC meetings on the repeater.
Adjournment
A motion was made to
adjourn the meeting by Mike N2JUN and was seconded by John N2LGS The
meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM
The 50/50 was won by
Don K2DSV - $19.50
John N2LGS brought a
paddle and some QRP gear which was also raffled off. Dave W2OIL won
the paddle and Larry W2LJ won the QRP items.
